Mindful Yoga for Tweens
Mindful Yoga for Tweens introduces youth to seated mindfulness practices featuring breath and body awareness, plus mindfulness in motion. Students practice mindfulness each week and get an understanding how to integrate mindfulness into daily life. Class themes come alive as students have the opportunity to do mindful art.
The physical yoga practice stretches, tones and refreshes the body integrating challenge and strength plus relaxation and restoration. There is a beginner Grade 5 Tween class on Monday afternoons and a Grade 6-8 class on Sunday evenings. All levels are welcome.
The Tween and Teen years are filled with significant physical and emotional growth. During these exciting and challenging times, youth are gathering critical tools to stay healthy now and throughout their lives.
If you register your Tween for the Fall Session of Mindful Yoga, you may schedule one Access Bars® session for you, your Tween or another family member for half price during the fall (September-December).
